A New Cause for Diabetes?

I was just reading an article in Natural News (NaturalNews.com), and learned about the possibility of not just a new cause of diabetes, but a new type of diabetes: Type 3.
So what is Type 3? It’s a form of diabetes that affects those who are especially sensitive to electrical devices or, rather, the “dirty” electricity that they emit.
It’s not exactly news that we are absolutely surrounded by electronic sources such as computers, televisions, and mobile phones Most of us never think twice about it. But all of this stuff is a constant source of electromagnetic radiation that barrages our bodies and, according to some, is causing widespread illness.
One of those who believes in the electromagnetic radiation-diabetes connection is Dr. Magda Havas, from Trent University in Canada, who has researched the relationship between electromagnetic fields and diabetes and published the results of her study in Electromagnetic Biology and Medicine. She found that people with type 3 diabetes had spikes in their blood sugar and increased heart rates when exposed to “electropollution.”
In one case, Dr. Havas found that electro-sensitive people who would experience a decrease in their blood sugar when they went for walk outdoors, would have an increase in blood sugar if they took their walk on a treadmill instead. In fact, their blood sugar spiked significantly despite the fact that they were exercising. Dr. Havas also found that for type 3 diabetics, even having an electrical device plugged in near them could cause them to experience problems.
If you have type 1 or type 2 diabetes, you can, of course, have type 3, and if you are pre-diabetetic, electromagnetic radiation could push you over the edge into full-blown diabetes. But what was especially interesting about this study was that it indicated that a person can have type 3 diabetes without having type 1 or type 2. In other words, electropollution could in some cases be the only cause of an individual’s diabetes.
So, what are you gonna do? Electronics are everywhere. It almost impossible to imagine life without them.
You could go live in the woods — be sure there aren’t any power lines nearby – but . . . it’s not really a practical solution for most of us. A more practical solution might be EMF filters. The study showed that home EMF filters are one way – one of the best ways – to curb stray electrical signals in the home.
Another good idea is to keep electronic devices away from yourself as much as possible. Keep Wi-Fi devices at a distance; turn off electrical devices at night and keep them away from the sleeping area; think twice about your Bluetooth; and try to maintain a healthy lifestyle in general to help keep your body strong and help it resist the effects of electropollution.
All in all, it’s a lot (more) to think about. And, of course, it’s a good news/bad news thing: another cause of diabetes/another explanation for (some) diabetes; something else to worry about/something else you can do something about.
